How does finding a Nazi train loaded with gold sound?
The BBC reports that two people are claiming to have found an armoured train buried in Poland, near Wroclaw.
A Polish report said the train may be 150 meters long and could hold up to 300 tonnes of gold on board.
Local folklore had long claimed that a Nazi train had disappeared in in a tunnel and people have been looking for it for years.
I love a good story, and I hope it's true, but how could 300 tonnes of gold go missing? There's just no way to hide that much gold.
A metic tonne of gold is worth about $37 million at today's prices so that haul would be worth about 1.1 billion.
