March 31, 2017. The AUD is the Strongest. The NZD is the weakest.

As North American traders Enter for the day, the AUD i the strongest currency while the NZD is the weakest.

Having said that, the changes are minimal vs Thursdays closing levels. The largest change of the major currencies against the US dollar is only 11 pips (see chart below). All the trading ranges for the majors against the USD, and major cross currency pairs are below the 22 day average trading range. Quiet Friday for the last trading day of the calendar month and quarter.

  • Canada GDP for January is expected to rise by +0.3% versus +0.3% last month, YoY is expected to come in at 1.9% versus 2%
  • US personal spending for February isexpected to rise by 0.2% versus 0.2% last month
  • US personal income is expected to rise by 0.4% versus 0.4% last month
  • US PCE Deflator for February is expected to rise by 0.1%, YoY is expected to rise by 2.1%. The core measure is estimated at +0.2% and YoY is estimated at 1.7% (unchanged fro the prior month.
  • At 9 AM Feds Dudley is expected to talk on Bloomberg TV
  • At 9:45 AM the Chicago purchasing managers index is expected to fall to 56.9 from 57.4
  • At 10 AM US UNIVERSITY OF Michigan sentiment final is expected to come in at 97.6 unchanged from the preliminary figures
  • US Fed's Bullard speaks at10:30 AM
