There have been plenty of comments from Canadian foreign minister Freeland earlier:
- CAD foreign minister says encouraged by progress in trade talks
- CAD's Freeland says it is good that Mexico made significant concessions
The comments have been quite upbeat. Freeland is is in Washington for what are described as 'detailed' trade talks. To officially commence Wednesday though she already met with United States Trade Representative Lighthizer and will conduct a bilateral meeting with Mexico this evening (US time)
