A law enforcement source cited by Reuters says two of the people in custody were college classmates of Dzokhar Tsarnaev. They are investigating whether the classmates threw away some kind of knapsack, possibly filled with fireworks and explosives, at the request of Tsarnaev.
The third person is a US citizen.
