The uncertainty remains as a hung parliament is still the projected outcome

The vote count here is the partial results of votes for Italy's Senate with reference to the winner-takes-all districts. It's the results from 48,930/61,401 national polling stations - but excludes Italians who are voting abroad.

The preliminary results here does little to help the market draw any form of conclusions at this point, and the political/economical impact is still far from certain. The longer this draws out, the more jittery it could be for investors, and we're seeing some of that in early trades in Europe already.

EUR/USD is now down to 1.2288, following a subdued Asian session sitting around 1.2310-20 levels.
