Daily thread to exchange ideas and to share your thoughts

Happy Monday, everyone! Hope you all had a great weekend and that you're ready to tackle the new trading week. It's been a rather subdued start to the session so far with major currencies tepid as risk sentiment also failing to provide much hints for traders on the new week.

The greenback has lost a bit of ground over the last hour but in truth, the trading ranges are extremely narrow still. Equities are holding rather flat with E-minis trading just 0.1% higher currently as investors are still treading with caution following Friday's decline.

Apart from that, there isn't much of a trading theme at the moment as market participants are keeping one eye on the FOMC meeting to come on Wednesday. That will have greater lasting influence on markets as we wrap up the year and head into 2019.

What are your views on the market right now? Do you think the Fed will pull off a surprise and not hike rates? What message will they send to markets on Wednesday? Share your thoughts/ideas with the rest of the ForexLive community here.
