Daily thread to exchange ideas and to share your thoughts

Good day, everyone! Hope you're all doing well as we get things underway here in European trading. It's been a session light on headlines for the moment but risk is the dominant factor in markets so far to start the day, recovering some poise after the beat down yesterday.

  • NZD, AUD leads as risk sentiment improves
  • European equities poised to open higher; E-minis up 0.6% currently
  • JPY, USD give back some overnight gains as risk recovers on the day
  • Italian bonds bid at the open, helps to provide some relief to the EUR

Expect headlines to pick up during the session as the European Commission will deliver their verdict on Italy's revised budget proposal. Meanwhile, Theresa May is headed to Brussels to meet with Juncker on Brexit later this evening so keep an eye on that as well.
