Good day, everyone! Hope you're all doing well as we get things going here on the session. It's been a relatively decent start with markets coming becoming more active as the yen gathers steam on the back of falling Treasury yields, triggered by negative sentiment following weaker-than-expected China data earlier today.

That is triggering a bit of a slight risk-off mood across major currencies with the dollar also gaining a bit of an edge - not much though - at the start of trading in Europe.

Nonetheless, the data in Asia earlier highlights that any hopes of an economic rebound in China shouldn't be a given at this point and it's going to take much more effort by authorities to try and sustain economic growth in the country. And that's something that other major economies will be concerned about in the coming months.
