Daily thread to exchange ideas and to share your thoughts

Good day, everyone! Hope you're all doing well so far today as we await European markets to open. It's been a quiet start to the day so far with focus being on risk and the yen, after the BOJ decided to trim its inflation forecasts.

  • AUD lags following CPI data (trimmed mean as expected though)
  • AUD/USD slips back under 0.7100
  • GBP/USD bounces off 1.2700 for the time being
  • Major currencies still holding steady on the session so far for the most part
  • Equities sentiment holds steady as well, E-minis up 0.3%

Not much notable activity across the board so far as we await European traders to enter the fray. Can the dollar extend its upside momentum? Are we starting to see some calm in equities again?
