Daily thread to exchange ideas and to share your thoughts

Good day, everyone! Hope you're all doing well as we get things going here on the session. It's been a slow start to the day as markets are observing thin trading with a holiday in the US today and also as the focus turns towards tomorrow's US jobs data.

The dollar is steady and a little mixed against the rest of the major bloc, though currency ranges remain relatively narrow for the most part. Changes in most major currencies remain minimal with less than 0.1% movement among pretty much all dollar pairs.

The loonie is holding a tad weaker due to oil prices slipping early in the session but USD/CAD is holding in a 21 pips range so far still.

Looking ahead, markets may settle into a bit of a lull with US markets being closed so just be on the look out for potential trade headlines in case. Otherwise, I would expect the main focus and attention to shift towards the non-farm payrolls release tomorrow.
