When ever politicians try and sell something to the public that they’re not buying, the always say “it’s an investment for our children and grandchildren”….
Trichet is playing that card in selling rate hikes to the European parliament, saying inflation impacts the least fortunate hardest of all. (Doesn’t everything impact the less fortunate hardest of all?)
