Trump last hinted at better GDP
The President isn't supposed to get economic data until the day before it's released but Trump's latest tweet will fuel speculation about what he knows.
The tweet echoes one in June where he said very good GDP numbers would be announced soon. Last week, Q1 GDP was revised higher.
That's probably a coincidence and I doubt Trump was talking about a two-ticks improvement in GDP from a quarter where he wasn't even the President for the entire thing. But if this week's non-farm payrolls report soars (consensus +177K), then it's going to start looking suspicious.
