Trump tweets on autos tariffs towards the EU
He's up early today and have been talking about trade barriers and tariffs, also warning Harley Davidson that they would have to pay a big amount in return to sell back to the US if they move production out.
But this particular tweet is directed at the EU as he looks to impose tariffs on cars and that will specifically hurt German autos makers even more. Last week we already saw Daimler issue a profit warning as a result of the trade spat between US and China. An autos tariff on top of that would only serve to pile on the misery.
