Close call on the Turkey-Syria border

Newsweek reports that between 15 and 100 US Special Forces soldiers were attacked with artillery fire near Kobani, along the Turkey-Syria border.

Fortunately, the soldiers were not injured, didn't return fire and withdrew once the shelling ceased.

Had soldiers been killed or returned fire, it could have set off a major incident.
