UK Brexit minister Raab says will speak to EU's Barnier later today

Newly appointed UK Brexit minister Dominic Raab speaks to BBC Radio

• Will also go to Brussels next week
• Hopes that white paper will reassure those who have concerns on the Brexit plan
• Confident that parliament will back a Brexit deal, "it will be a good one"

I believe Barnier will nod along for the time being and after reviewing over the white paper with EU leaders, it is likely that the same issues that are persisting (Irish border and ECJ) are likely to continue to persist down the road.

I'd really like to be proven wrong on that, but after two years it's hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel really.
