————————————————————————
The input price index for materials for materials and fuels rose 0.9% on
the month in November versus a 2.2% on the month increase in October.
The rise in the input index mainly reflected rises in the price of crude
oil and fuels, although it was partially offset by a fall in the price
of home produced food products, the ONS said. Input prices rose 9.0% on
the year, in line with analyst forecasts of an 8.9% rise. Today’s input
price index data release was delayed from December 10th due to “quality
issues” with the data.
