UK expects to make new BOE governor appointment in the autumn

The search is on to replace outgoing BOE governor, Mark Carney

UK chancellor, Philip Hammond, officially launches the search for the next BOE governor as Carney's term will come to an end in January 2020. Hammond says that the UK will hold interviews for the position over the summer and expects to make the appointment in autumn this year.
