Newly appointed foreign secretary Jeremy Hunt speaks in Brussels
- Expects "very, very lively debate" in parliament on white paper
- White paper is the way to get deep and special partnership with Europe
- If the UK cannot "cherry pick" then neither can the EU
- UK has shown that i can address concerns on Northern Ireland and trade
- White paper is a basis now to move forward in talks
The white paper is to be published later today, no specific time for that as far as I can tell. Earlier in the day, there was a story by the FT saying that Theresa May is said to propose looser ties with the EU post-Brexit - which would mean less access for financial services firms.
