Key ally of PM May
The UK Home Secretary Amber Rudd has resigned over reports she has personally set a target for an increase in the enforced deportation of immigrants. Last week she denied any knowledge of targets.
Rudd was to face Parliament again on Monday, but it seems that grilling will not take place.
Rudd was an ally of May's cabinet and her resignation upsets the Brexit balance in the PMs senior team.
