–UK June CIPS Manuf. PMI Shows Fastest Jobs Growth Since 1995
LONDON (MNI) – Growth in UK manufacturing activity decelerated
slightly in June, with the headline activity index slipping to 57.5, in
line with analysts’ expectations, according to the latest
Markit/Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply survey.
The PMI activity index, at 57.5, is a shade below the 15-year high
hit during April and May.
The survey showed employment growing at its fastest pace since
1995, driven by robust output growth, Markit/CIPS said.
