The readings are an indicator of short-term trends in the retail and wholesale sector of the UK economy.
A minor data point, but the bounce shows some form of positive takeaway at least following the weak readings earlier that were mainly attributed to adverse weather conditions. Still, not something that is going to matter in the grand scheme of things today.
