UK PM May said to indicate that there would be no backstop deal in time for October

According to the RTE

• Says that May indicated no backstop in time for October discussions in bilateral talks with Irish prime minister Varadkar

I've said it once, I'll say it again. The key sticking point remains that of the Irish backstop/border. With May reportedly rejecting the EU's proposal, it is now up to the UK to present a viable solution to the matter. I think we all already know no deal is coming in October so now the question is whether or not they can at least get something done in November.
