Various reports in the UK press of 'explosions', 'gunshots', 'loud bangs' heard in Westminster
The most level-headed report I have is it's a 'controlled explosion', a police operation.
UK's 'Independent':
- Police have reportedly performed a controlled explosion near Westminster
- Less than a mile away from the scene of a terrorist attack yesterday
- A senior BBC producer said London's Metropolitan Police had confirmed the operation on Birdcage Walk, yards from Westminster Bridge
- Police dealing with a suspect package
