UK November retail sales came in at -0.3% m/m, +3.1% y/y, demonstrably weaker than median forecasts of +0.5%, +3.7% respectively. The monthly rate was the lowest since May.

ONS says November’s month on month fall was due to lower department store sales, less clothing after strong October.
