UK's main stock index touches a record high after yesterday's close above 7,600
Looks like the year-end party is just beginning for UK stocks. The FTSE 100 closed above 7,600 for the first time yesterday, and is now inching higher on the day - up to a record high of 7,610.76.
Apart from the FTSE, most European stocks are still down on the day - but only slightly.
