Spokesman for UK PM Theresa May ahead of today's debate/vote 13 March

  • we will not agree to anything that will tie the PM's hands in the Brezit negotiations
  • wants Brexit bill to pass un-amended but is determined that parliament will be engaged throughout the Brexit process and afterwards

All the hot air to be expected today as the govt faces criticism of trying to steam-roller the Brexit bill through despite the Lords' amendments on EU citizens rights and having a meaningful debate. Article 50 widely expected to be triggered tomorrow.

May is right though not to show her negotiating hand prior to Brexit talks begin.
