US DATA: ICSC sales for Nov 5 wk: “A cold weather snap that made
its way across the country warmed up consumers to start spending thus
giving retailers their second consecutive week of positive sales
results. As a result, weekly retail sales rose by a solid 1.0 percent
for the week ending November 5, 2011, according to International Council
of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and Goldman Sachs Weekly Chain Store Sales
Index. On a year-over-year basis, retail sales continued to remain
positive but did slow to 2.7 percent.”
