US DATA: November TIC data show foreign residents bought a healthy $58.0
bn of long-term US securities vs $12.2bn(r) October inflows. Within the
purchases, private investors bought $40.3 bn and official institutions
bought $17.7 bn. US residents were net sellers of $1.9bn of foreign
securities.

Net monthly TIC flows were +$48.6bn.
Tsys flow by country show; China -$1.5bn, Japan +$59.9bn (intervention
proceeds?), UK +$18.2bn, OPEC +$5.8bn, Carib +$10.1 bn, Switzerland
-$17.8 bn (reserve diversification?) HK -$5.4bn, Thailand +$6.1bn,
