According to the Wall St Journal
- Asks China to narrow trade surplus by $200 bn by 2020
- Asks China not to target US farmers, agricultural products
- Asks China to reduce trade imbalance immediately
- Asks China to halt subsidies for advanced tech
- Asks China not to retaliate against US restrictions on investments from China
- Asks China to cut tariffs on all products to levels no higher than that of US
Not too surprising considering they already gave Chinese officials a so-called "detailed list of asks", and surely this would have been one of the items listed.
Okay, that's a whole lots of "asks". And looking at the list, I can't see China caving in to be honest. This is going to be a long drawn out spat between the two still.
