Nasdaq lags as tech sees some selling

The S&P is ending the day up 0.66%. The Dow s up 0.90% but the Nasdaq lagged at up 0.23%. Amazon, FB and other techs lagged. The Dow has now wiped out the 2016 losses.

In the treasury market:

  • 2 year note yield 0.8633%, +1 BP
  • 5 year note yield 1.3755%, -1 BP
  • 10 year note yield 1.8976% -1 BP
  • 30 year bond yield 2.6893% -2 BP

Crude oil is trading above $40 for the first time since Dec 6th (for this contract at least). The change today is +4.42% (it amazes me the daily changes for Oil).

Gold is up 2.2%
The CRB Index is up 2.24%. Dollar weakness is helping the commodities

The strongest currency is the NZD (it got going with better GDP). The weakest for the 2nd day in a row is the USD.
