Here is an interesting piece of data highlighted by the guys at Brown Brothers Harriman. It seems that the “exhaustion rate”, the percentage of unemployed workers who couldn’t find a job before drawing their last benefit check, has risen to 50.7 % in July, the highest reading since 1972. Maybe one of our North American readers can enlighten me, but how long can you pick up benefit for ??
Risk on is back albeit in thin August trading conditions, Stocks, Oil and Yen are the main beneficiaries. One thing that this highlights, is that whatever you trade you gotta have stops !
