Our 24-company Johnson Redbook Same-store Sales Index (SSI) was up
3.7% following a 5.5% gain in September and a 4.8% in August. Bon-Ton
was the only double-digit laggard, -10.2%. Among retailers, 83% posted
positive gains and 17% posted negative results.
