The New York Times has just released a poll on the US political situation.
On the question of “what issues would you like to hear candidates discuss?”, the answer “the deficit” has fallen to 4% from 11% in June. Jobs and the economy are the leading answers at 22% each.
Another interesting note is that 34% said the economy was getting better while 22% said it was getting worse compared to 28/23 in January. Before that, the ratio was negative for 10 months.
