This is an index which measures the opinion of small businesses on the economic conditions in the country. The reading more or less holds steady from February as optimism among small business owners continues to stabilise. That's a general indication of how businesses are feeling towards the US economy at the moment, slightly off the upbeat tone from last year but nothing to suggest that a massive downturn is on the cards just yet.
