Headline measures the change in number of applications for mortgages backed by the MBA during the week. Mortgage activity rose again on the week continuing to highlight that the US housing market is holding relatively steady. Then again, this is indicative data only. The standout here is that the 30-year mortgage rate rose by 9 bps to its highest rate since April 2011.
