New home sales
Housing is quietly picking up steam in the US as the market tightens and the economy improves. The numbers this week have been great and they can top it off with a strong report on new home sales.
The consensus is for a 4.4% monthly drop to 655K as last month's 6.2% jump is partly erased.
Along with that report, the final December consumer sentiment report is due from the University of Michigan. The preliminary number was 115.9.
