• Fiscal year-to-date deficit $305B vs $202B a year ago
• Outlays $411B vs $347B prior
• Receipts $206B vs $208B prior

The monthly numbers can be skewed by calendar effects, like the number of Fridays in a month or when holidays fall but the trend in the US budget isn't pretty.
