WASHINGTON (MNI) – The following is the summary of the Johnson
Redbook report on June chain-store sales, published Thursday:
Our 22 company Johnson Redbook Same-store Sales Index (SSI) was up
0.2% following a 1.8% gain in May and a 0.6% gain in April. Two
double-digit laggards were Cato Corp, -10%, and Walgreen, -10%. Among
retailers, eleven companies posted positive gains and ten companies
posted negative results.
