US equities have shed about 0.5% as midday approaches and the dollar is staging a modest comeback with a slight bout of risk aversion breaking out.
The S&P was up about 3 points when I walked in and is now down over 6 points. ..
EUR/USD is near US session lows, trading now at 1.4050. Support lies at 1.4030.
Traders also note a fresh wave of real money buying in USD/JPY, the third day this week US investors have been buying. USD/JPY has nothing to show for it, however, trading just over a half-yen above trend lows at 80.90 and less than 2 yen above all-time lows at 79.75.
