US stock markets climb at the open

Opening moves in US equity markets

The S&P 500 is up 12 points to 3012 at the open. Futures had been higher on the US tariff delay but they faded over time.

The focus right now is on Europe and European banks. They're not as strong as they had been in the immediate aftermath of the ECB.

We're keeping a close eye on gold and oil at the moment as they move in opposite directions.
