Tech lags
The S&P 500 finished the day down 0.54 points to 2650.53. Despite the finish, it wasn't a quiet day as the market traded down to 2637 and as high as 2670.
The Nasdaq was softer, falling 0.4%.
Overall, the market appears to be in some kind of wait-and-see mode ahead of the Fed and some other risk events but tomorrow's retail sales report may get things moving.
