- US China September trade deficit $31.62 billion versus August deficit of $31.76 billion
- US OPEC trade surplus $1.1 billion versus August surplus of $701 million
- oil import price $53.12 per barrel versus August 54.13 per barrel
The trade deficit is smaller which is good for month-to-month growth but still remains in the $50 billion range. The trade deficit with China remains quite large. The US now has a trade surplus with OPEC which is good news as the US becomes less reliant on OPEC oil.
