The former Greek Finance Minister, now leader of the Socialists, wants the Coalition to fight for an extension from the Troika but concedes he has to knuckle under and accept more than EUR 11 bln in cuts. He says he will not bring down the government over his disagreement.
The plan is now being examined by the Troika, which will likely take until the end of August.
