What's on the Oct 26 docket
Happy Friday to all our friends in the Asia-Pacific region. The theme this week has been US markets doing the opposite of what was happening in Asia and that was the case today as the S&P 500 climbed 1.9% after a 3.7% drop in the Nikkei and flat trade in Shanghai.
The bad news is that S&P futures halved their gains after hours on poor results from Google and Amazon.
The story will likely be what happens in equities once again but there will be some data as well. Tokyo CPI for October is due at 2330 GMT and expected up 1.5% y/y compared to 1.2% in September.
In terns of speakers, the schedule is light with only the Fed's Mester on the docket at 0100 GMT.
