High turnout the story so far
There are reports that polling stations have been swamped and some are running out of paper ballots. Turnout in the most-recent election was 74.6% but it could exceed 80% or 85% today, according to reports.
Does that translate into good news for Wilders? I'm not sure. A big reason Hillary Clinton lost was that turnout was low in districts that support her. The final polls also showed Wilders losing momentum.
Voting continues until 2000 GMT (about 4 more hours) and then the counting begins. However exit polls will be broadcast as soon as voting closes and that could move markets. Some towns could report results as soon as 40 minutes later but larger centres will take at least 3 hours. The provisional tally will come at least 4 hours after the polls close and the official result won't be released for about a week.
