Breaking news on coronavirus
The World Health Organization (WHO) has said that it does not declare international virus alarm alarm. The organization met for the 2 days. It is a bit too early to consider this event that strongly. The emergency committee was almost split down the middle. Some said that the evolution of the epidemic and increasing cases warrants the designation, while others saying that the limited international spread so far, and that China is making the efforts to limit that spread.
That should be a relief for global slowing concerns. The US stocks remain negative on the day with the S&P down -7 points or -0.21%. The NASDAQ index is trading down -7.5 points or -0.09%.
The fear will come and go with the successes of containment.
What we know when dealing with these virus, that the fear tends to be greater than the reality.
I am not making light of the concern, however, according to reports 18 people have died as a result of the virus. Each year in the US, there are 12,000 - 61,000 deaths since 2010 (according to the CDC).
