Beijing's COVID cases have jumped to the highest in more than a year

I posted earlier on the weight on the Chinese economy from ongoing restrictions:

If there is a light at the end of this tunnel its that China's top leaders (Xi and Politburo, no less) have called for more targeted rules to combat outbreaks, rather than a blanket shut down of entire cities.
