US President Biden is speaking in a news conference following the mid-term elections.
His remarks are wide-ranging, the headline is his comment on his inflation outlook. Keep in mind that first and foremost Biden is a politician so his outlook for the US economy is not necessarily objective:
- can't guarantee we are able to get rid of inflation, but thinks we can
- thinks the economy will have a soft landing
- we are not anywhere near a recession right now, in terms of growth
