The chief of Germany's gas regulator also says that the next phase i.e. emergency phase, may not need to be triggered so long as they can add gas to storage. There's a lot of talk and analysis out there highlighting that triggering the emergency phase is inevitable and of all people I'd be inclined to believe, the authorities are definitely not on top of the list.
I mean when you see headlines like this, it is very much screaming desperation.
