This marks a further improvement in small business confidence in the US last month, even though many businesses are still experiencing difficulties in finding workers according to the survey. Of note, worker shortages were acute in the transportation, services and construction sectors. Meanwhile, the share of businesses who view inflation as the most important problem increased 2 points to 28% but is at least down 9 points from the July peak.
